This Day in Wells Fargo HistoryMay 11, 1907

Forsyth Savings and Trust Company, now Wells Fargo, opened its doors in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Its president, James S. Hill, supported his community in other ways. He helped found Slater Industrial Academy, now Winston-Salem State University.
